Hard work pays off. He is an old man, who takes pride in his garden, but to him, for it to look perfect, he must do everything with scissors. Although he would rather work in his garden all day every day, he is very poor, so he must complete many tasks for other people to get by in life. He decided that today, he is just going to work in his garden, and tomorrow, he will complete the tasks. Today, he must compete today is to cut the grass. He cuts, blade by blade by blade waiting the day that his garden looks perfect. His aching knees will one day pay off, when he is all done with his garden. He cuts the grass with scissors, but he picks up the blades of grass, and places them in a bucket because he thinks that it makes his garden look better. After many long, hard hours of cutting the grass, he watered the grass with a bucket. Not one bucket but many buckets are what it took to water his garden.
The next day, he woke up and had to complete the tasks of two days since he had worked in his garden the day before. First, he must deliver the newspaper to the whole town. One little old man, and four stacks of newspapers will take a while to deliver, but he must do it. Next, he must cut the grass of a neighbor, once again using scissors. Finally, he must cook dinner for the little old lady across town.
This little old man, is all about business and pleasure because he wants to work in his garden every minute of every day because he enjoys it and he wants it to look per
