I was privileged to have the opportunity to see the 13 doors and a few more that were available at the gallery yesterday. My favorite door was the fire door. This door was clearly a part of a house fire. There was a Sunoco sticker on the door and it seemed so real to me. The metal off the door was melted and looked as if it was dripping down. The door know was smokey black with fingerprints on it. The fingerprints represent someone trying to get out of the fire. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. I also really liked the Barbie one. As I walked in I saw a girl with smeared make up on her face trying to make herself throw up and I wasn't quite sure why she was doing that. On the other side of the door I understood why she was doing it. She wanted to make herself look like one of the barbies, with a perfect figure. It made me sad that someone would ever do that to themselves. I highly recommend anyone to go check out these creative doors whenever they have the chance.
