This door seems as if the person who is depicted has Organic Amnesia. Organic Amnesia is short-term memory loss due to brain injury. The most obvious symptom is rapid forgetting. New information fades from memory within a few minutes. Old memories, such as those from childhood, are retained as well as they are in people normally. In O.A., the brain damage is permanent, so is the syndrome. Meaning everyday is the same. Kind of like the plot of the movie "50 First Dates". The person lives their days from the last point before their injury. All of the newspapers in the corner are all the same. The person seems to be living like normal, without knowing their condition is affecting them. This person may have other afflictions making them suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD). The garden shows this. You don't usually see someone trimming their garden with scissors, making every stand equal length. I feel as if this door shows mental illness. Maybe a the artist knows a sufferer of these mental illnesses. This was an interesting door. It really reminded me of "50 First Dates" scenes, where Lucy had the same situations. She had the same newspapers stacked up by her father and brother. She lived the same day everyday. She had been retold her story of her accident but at night her memories were wiped away. I feel like this person suffers the same affliction.
