I like the uniforms
But I’m scared of them too.
And I like the idea,
Of defending my country.
But I’m not brave
If I was brave like my brother,
I would charge in to war.
I would fight for my freedom.
I’m a good athlete.
Just like my brother.
I’m faster than all my friends.
And I can jump just like him.
But he doesn’t run and jump anymore.
He says he’s too busy
Cause he’s training new recruits.
Or hes to tired
He lets me wear his old uniform.
But i’s too big.
Sometimes the army scares me.
But I guess I can be scared…
I’m only eight after all.
Besides I can draw.
I like to paint
But Im not like Picasso
Or Da Vinci
Or even van Gogh.
I paint what I feel and see and smell
And I love it.
And no one says I cant.
So I will.
